Insight to the Changing Role of Mediumship – By Ashleigh Stewart-Ghabi
By Ashleigh Stewart Ghabi M.Msc

My friends and I were engaged in a lengthy discussion involving my favorite subject, Spirit communication when one of them asked “Why should we bother so much about the spirit world when we are here to experience life as physical human beings?”

I though that was a great question and quickly answered “well, because this world is evolving and although it may not have been such an important aspect of understanding in human existence throughout previous years, today it is becoming almost crucial that we acknowledge and understand the nature of the spirit during this world’s evolutionary progression from being 3 dimensional to 4 dimensional."

The 4th dimension of being is that of the spirit. We are currently existing in a world known to function within the realms of time, space, and matter. As we evolve consciously, we are accepting the realm of the spirit more widely.

The mind, (the non-physical aspect of ourselves) which we understand and accept as being part of our human make-up, is in fact the gateway between our physical self and spiritual self in terms of communicating with the non-physical realms. The mind acts as the door way to the spirit and is the medium through which the spirit communicates with the human consciousness.

This world will change and human beings will change more and more as we merge with the spirit and consciously become one with it again. Our senses will change and even our bodies may change in time. As time passes and we evolve, the role of mediumship in our world evolves too. Our connection with the spirit world is expanding rapidly to bring us awareness and understanding beyond that of merely acknowledging the fact that life carries on after death.

As the role of mediumship evolves, as does the consciousness and the ability of our mediums to reach to higher dimensional planes than ever before, relaying a vast array of knowledge, wisdom and consciousness of a new awareness which reminds us of our long forgotten reason for being here in the first place, which is to serve the evolutionary progression of our Soul in the Universe.

The role of mediumship in this case ultimately provides us much more than relief of our fear of dying by proving the existence of life after death; it in fact introduces us to relief from our fear of living as we merge with spirit and the understanding of our Soul’s purpose for being that was forgotten long ago when we were conditioned to life on the earth plane.  The emptiness that the majority of people experience within the earth plane is the result of this long forgotten truth.

As we awaken to the true nature of ourselves as Spirit and Soul, that empty void within will be replaced with new found hope and inspiration in the knowledge that life is never without purpose, we are never without purpose, and although the trials of life may leave us feeling abandoned and lonely at times, we know that we are never alone. As life challenges us with hardship and pain, these are the times we are able to truly recognize and acknowledge the strength of the spirit
