When studying the charts of the Cancer New Moon, the Capricorn Full Moon and the Leo New Moon cycles during late June and July. For the most part the greater portion of planetary influences activate the water and fire signs during the month of July and August, followed by a big shift into earth sign Virgo at the end of August. Through the astrological cycles I am reminded of the development of personality and how the relationship with soul and personality intertwine for the ultimate purpose of soul evolution. I also am looking at the summer season here in the Western Hemisphere and noting the qualities and the energy patterns that we as individuals will experience and how we as a collective consciousness will be developing.
During July we have Cancer and Leo spotlighted, and by late August Virgo will be highly emphasized by the transits of the planets. These signs of the zodiac are concurrent with the process of the development of our individuality. First, with water sign Cancer, there is a foundation built from an internal reference point of self, based primarily on feelings. A personal reality is formed and empowered through authenticity. Next, with fire sign Leo, there are risks taken to develop confidence for creative, radiant self-expression. The development of individuality and integrity is brought into clearer focus by the thoughtfulness and mental reflection of Virgo, where self-refinement becomes the purpose, thus linking personality to soul.
Water sign Cancer gives birth to fire sign Leo in the scheme of things viewed from the zodiac. Water is mother, sensitivity, nurturing, unconscious and collective feelings, internal reflection, compassion, intuition, purification, and psychic sensitivity. Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) invite us to experience the power of the collective psyche and primordial chaos. We rediscover and integrate fears, phobias, addictions, erotic emotions, and conditioned reactions. The hidden world of the unconscious motives us. Conscious choice and creative impulses come with fire signs. Bringing the past up for examination and for recreation. Strength and confidence grows as a result of taking risks inwardly and outwardly. The element of fire brings enthusiasm, confidence, a desire for freedom of expression, and other qualities found in leadership. Fire sign people (Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius) are demonstrative, spontaneous, and assertive. Finally Virgo comes in and cleans it all up. That really begins in an exaggerated manner late August. If you are smart you will avoid making messes. Don't add any more karma to your plate.
The whole summer invites us all, on personal and universal levels, to expand beyond the five senses and to evolve through higher sense perception. We have the opportunity to evolve to a higher state by choice in response to destructive patterns and in faith of a greater world and a greater reality. This invitation always exists, it is just pronounced at this time. The process is toward the true reality of wholeness and to bring healing to ourselves through awakening in the manner that was designed for our individual birth and life experience.
Another astrological feature that is prominent this month, and for many months to follow, is the potent emphasis in the water signs of Cancer and Pisces. Mars and Uranus are traveling together in Pisces, continuously in conjunction until late this year. Mars in Pisces energizing Uranus in Pisces brings a few subjects to my mind that I believe will be important for individual and collective soul evolution. The themes are illusion, perception, images projected, and the process of redefining reality. I am reminded about the role illusion and perception play in the process of evolution. The role they play in the relationship between personality and soul consciousness is discussed in depth in one of my favorite books: The Seat of the Soul by Gary Zukav. (This book is a must read to gain a better understanding of the alignment of personality with soul and insights regarding human evolution now in process).
With Mars and Uranus in Pisces, many of us will face illusions and fabrications. Illusion has its place in the scheme of things for soul evolution as taught by many great teachers. Each experience you have is brought forward for you to encounter for the greatest purpose, which is to serve directly and immediately the need of your soul to heal and to come into wholeness. The illusion for each soul is created by its intentions. Therefore, the illusion is alive at each moment with the most appropriate experiences that you can have in order for your soul to heal. When your personality or your ego is dedicated to soul evolution, then you are being authentic, you are being empowered, and you are stepping toward enlightenment. If your illusions have power over you then your have lost touch with your true self.
Perceptions based upon the image that has been presented to us by others or that which we create and we are often fooled by, will be challenged and shattered. Expand beyond your comfort zone and the perceptions that you have previously held. Choose to be aware, conscious, here, now, and open. Ride the wave from moment to moment and allow AWARENESS in the here and now transform your perception and bring you beyond past conditioning and the limitation of the five senses. Detach yourself from the illusions and just observe. Let the experiences you have this month and this summer bring you authentic empowerment through the alignment of your personality with your soul.
The illusions you have had are shaped initially by the law of karma. Each personality, has unconscious intentions, which come with birth, and is determined by the karma of the soul. Your intentions for your birth have shaped your personality's illusions, and shaped the reality you experience within the Earth school, until your are able to evolve and replace these karmically conditioned intentions with other intentions. This process can take place both consciously and unconsciously.
Most important, (especially while Mars is retrograde beginning on July 29) keep a positive perspective, rather than adding to the dark forces by creating destructively or by separating yourself by perpetuating your illusions.
Everything you think and every action you take has a reaction so be accountable for the outcomes of past and present actions. Be a responsible creator as you walk through each day with eyes wide open. There is no benefit in playing the victim. If you need help, reach out in faith and it will come to you in perfect timing. Always count your blessings. It is much more satisfying to look at the cup that is half full than the cup that is half empty.
