Many of us have homes up for sale this year and as you have heard for months, homes sales are lagging all across America. It’s one of the best "Buyer’s Markets" I have ever seen. So, what’s a seller to do? First let’s look at what’s happening from an astrological stand point to get a better understanding of the type of energy we're dealing with.
 
When we want to look at the best times for real estate sales we look to the North Node when it is transiting the sign of Cancer, which represents home, family, real estate, etc. The last time the North Node was positioned in this zodiac sign was in the spring of 2000 through the early fall of 2001. Many people brought homes;the number of  building permits skyrocketed and in places like south Florida and Malibu California, you could flip a house within days and make a huge profit.

Times have certainly changed. Now the real estate market is in the below-average phase. And it appears it will stay just where it is until July 2009 through early 2011.

For the millions of home sellers who want out, the best time to sell during this cycle is right now astrologically. After May, there’s even more of a decline due to the economy and it looks like the decline in economy will continue all year long. But right now, while there is a Jupiter and Saturn “trine”, sellers have a better chance to sign a purchase agreement.

But if you can't sell that quickly, all is not lost! You may just have to work a little harder at selling your home with so much competition in the market.

Here’s a few spiritual and metaphysical ideas to help your case.

1. Buy a St Joseph statue and bury him in your front yard. St Joseph is the Patron Saint for home and family. Many people swear this works! Be sure to say the Novena to St Joseph too.
 
2. Have a feng shui expert make recommendations. It’s all about energy and how potential buyers “feel” when they first walk into your house. So knowing the best way to place furniture to maximum the good “chi” will make a difference
 
3. Don't rely on your real estate to do all the work if you really want to sell. I know you're paying them but in today’s market, you need to pull out all stops. Word of mouth sales often are great ways to sell  your place . But set your intention, and do your affirmation and visualizations every day until it sells.
 
4. Ask yourself what‘s more important; moving and getting on with your life or making a huge profit? If you really want out, then adjust your asking price to great selling deal for someone. If you‘re looking at making the big bucks, then you can expect to have it sit on thwarter longer or hold off selling until the market goes back up in a few years. Changing your perception of what you really want and need may do the trick.
 
5. Put your house up for sale on a good astrological date. Don’t dare list it during the mercury retrograde in mid June to early July. Try to list it on a new moon if you can.
 
6. Use astrology to pinpoint the best times and dates to hold open house so you won’t waste a lot of valuable time and energy. May 20, 26 and 27 are the best days for the month of May to hold open houses. June 9 & 10 are not bad either.
 
Virgo and Virgo rising folks will be able to sell their homes easier than most other signs this year because lucky Jupiter is helping them out by transit until mid December. Scorpios have good financial aspects so this could also indicate a property sale in some cases. Taurus (and Taurus risings) will have a harder time selling until next year as Saturn is making things difficult and more trying in their solar charts for home sales.
 
Next year, Libra will hit a wave of good luck if they decide to put a home on the market while Gemini may have to sit a while until he gets an offer.

Timing is everything. So please don’t get discouraged if you are anxious and can’t sell right away. It may sit be the underside’s way of telling you to “stay put” for a while. Astrologically, life goes in cycles just like the economy. Understand what you can learn from each cycle as they all in some or another help with our spiritual growth.
