While making choices that where healing for my soul I had close encounters with many messengers. Other than my human friends, I closely interacted with an eagle, hawk, crow, roadrunner, owl, an opossum, lizards, and hummingbirds. All of this took place within 48 hours. I feel privileged to have these visitors. I feel closer to the magnificent creator when so many messengers show up in unordinary circumstances. Unusual was the owl as he appeared in my back yard, in the grass, mid day. We just stared at each other and then he took flight.

Paying attention moment by moment is my practice at this point in my life. The messages are there to provide guidance and to reinforce what is meaningful. Applying discernment according to my inner instructions is an improving development for meaningful day by day living. Protecting my space while staying in touch with the loving that feeds me and feeds others has brought the greatest and most immediate reward. Respecting Mother Earth and all of God's creation brings me great joy.

During August with Mercury in apparent backward motion we had a three week period for review, for re-evaluating, and reorganizing our thoughts, plans, especially as it relates to one's self concept. Mercury, ruler of both Gemini and Virgo, will be a feature for this month as well as Mars and Jupiter in Virgo as the oppose Uranus in Pisces. We still have an emphasis in these signs, following much exact opposition to Uranus during August.

Mercury, the messenger, moves quickly through the late degrees of Leo, returns to Virgo on September 10th while speeding through Virgo and enters Libra at the same time of the Libra/Aries Full Moon on September 27th. Mercury will oppose Uranus as it did in August, and catch up with Mars and Jupiter in Virgo, adding heightened awareness, mental energy that begs for focus and direction. Mars travels close with the Sun with an exact conjunction with Sun near the Virgo New Moon on September 14th-15th.

Without intention and concentration, many people could suffer from anxiety, worry, or simply feel overwhelmed. This would be the time to get practical. Practical includes being conscious about what you are focusing on in your head. Use your time and resources wisely rather than dwell in negativity. Make it a priority to channel your energy constructively. Be active, pay attention to health, and keep a balance between the physical and mental levels of consciousness.

With all predominant Virgo influence coming to fruition, we can expect a great deal of attention of fixing what doesn't work. Analytical Virgo gets to the matters that need correction. This can be the focus for recovering from challenging internal and external experiences that took place during August on personal and social levels.

The Sun started transiting in the sign of Virgo on August 22nd culminating at the Virgo/Pisces Full Moon on August 29th. On August 30th Pluto turned direct which added intensity to one's journey in the attempt to become whole. On August 31st Venus had a conjunction with Saturn in Cancer, pointing out what matters in our closest relationships. There are more prominent alignments with Uranus during September following the repeated oppositions that occurred in August in the signs of Virgo and Pisces. Exaggerated oppositions having transformational power will be experienced by most of us like a roller coaster ride. Highs and lows require an ability to get centered and an intention of accountability.

Last month I wrote: "Attention as a discipline of the mind is the medium that makes changes occur in consciousness. Pay attention. Begin each day with the intention to be aware. Allow the flow of events and activities to awaken you to come forth in a clear presence of mind and an authentic form of self-expression and contribution"

This month is simply a continuation of this practice with the potential of more success in the process, but there will be immediate here and now stuff to address. When going with the flow through an open and receptive state of mind, you will get your messages instantly and you will show up in life as a messenger for others as well. You are less likely to repeat old patterns because they will be apparent in contrast to who you are in reality. Your background and the circumstances and conditionings of your childhood have influenced your perceptions. Patterns recognized lead to choices about who you what to become.

Corrections are wonderful to experience if you are nice to your inner child and if you have a benevolent God. Going for the next step toward excellence with love and understanding, kindness, and gratitude with some humility makes for a good combination. Do you agree?

After the Equinox on September 22nd and moving toward the Libra/Aries Full Moon on September 28th Mars, Jupiter, and Mercury move into Libra. Wow! That is an energy shift that will expand upon the importance of our relationships to individuals and within a social context. By this time political and economical matters will be more measurable and more people will choose to do their part in response to world conditions. Values related to justice, religion, and human welfare becomes more of the issue at hand. Personal relations, intimacy, and desires for working out differences, negotiation, etc. will also have high priority over the next few months.

You'll be aware of new opportunities with more prospects for moving forward at the end of September and throughout October. It's in the air. You could feel impatient or pushed around by other people's impatience. The dynamics between people are very powerful and potentially filled with opposition, calling for skill in finding inner and outer balance. Begin your next phase of personal development with a strong foundation of trustworthy relationships. Overcome any conditioning that gets in the way of healthy interaction with others.

The key is to participate; honoring what benefits us all, while still being true to oneself. With opposing forces there is something to give and something to receive. Honest communication and a loving heart will be the line of energy that heals wounds and that offers freedom for everyone to win in the long run.
