Ask Kimmie - 21

Let me ask you this question:

Do you think it is better to hang on to something that no longer serves you well emotionally, or let it go?

Sounds like a simple answer, doesn't it?  Why of course we want to let it go.  However, people often find power in holding onto negativity because they are afraid to look within themselves and heal the pain that the negativity may have caused them.   They also find it easier to blame others  for their pain than to see that often something that happens does so for a  reason - to teach us what it is we need to learn.

Forgiveness is the key in this.   Forgive yourself first for the mistakes you have made in your past, and then it will be easier to forgive others. By holding yourself to constant disappointment, not only are you embracing self punishment, but you also begin to punish those around you.   It then becomes a bittersweet battle against your subconscious mind.

Begin to let go of these patterns by finding the lesson in them.   What did you learn from the situation?   Then begin to recognize that there are no mistakes, only learning lessons that teach us right from wrong.  Without light, there would be no darkness and vice versa.   However, within each of us only exists light. Pure love.

When you were born there was no guilt, no anger and no negativity.   You were born without judgment and without any concept of judgment.   Remember, this is the true essence of who you are and that you can return to this state of acceptance of every thought and deed in your life.  By accepting who you are is what you have chosen, you  can then move forward and stop holding yourself to the past.

Regression therapy is a wonderful technique one can use in order to release the past.  By going back and getting in touch with the pure love that exists within, you can "feel" the essence of your true being.   Remember, there is no soul that is not perfect.  Because we are all a part of God and God is love.  We are love, and with love there is no fear.
