‘Yogi Babes’ is a relaxing & gentle, yet fun Yoga class for Mom’s, babies & tots combining simple Yoga postures, meditation, breathing & massage techniques.

• Improved Digestion & Ease in Gas Pains
• Relief from fussiness and colic
• Strengthens the Immune System
• Helps Regulate Baby’s Emotions

• Helps you bond with your Baby
• Better Sleep for Mom & Dad
• Learn to Calm & Soothe your Baby
• Builds Parental Confidence
• Reduces Stress
• Reduces Anxiety

‘Yogi Babes’ is also a great way to make new friends and socialize with other Moms and their babies. Motherhood doesn’t have to be all work and no play does it? Our goal is to relax and have fun!

When? - Classes are from 2-3pm on Wednesdays

Benefits of Yoga during Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond

 

This is a Yoga class designed for women who are Pregnant and are interested in how Yoga can help ease the process of pregnancy & childbirth, & make the transition into motherhood an easier ride for all involved.

 

This is a very gentle, relaxing class that aims to guide you through Yoga postures, breathing exercises & visualizations that are adapted to suit every stage of your pregnancy. We will also use techniques such as self-massage, reflexology & energy work to aid your practice.

 

During Pregnancy

 

*Increases overall strength, flexibility & well-being

*Reduces low back pain & sciatica

*Reduces aches & fatigue in the back

*Reduces swelling & inflammation around your joints

*Aids in digestion

*Helps prepare you physically for giving birth

*Improves emotional well-being

 

During Labor

 

*Soothe & empower yourself by finding your own inner rhythm

*Facilitate the labor process

*Improve your physical comfort

*Learn to use the tools of meditation & visual imagery

*Become familiar with the concept of vocalization

*Use the muscles of your pelvic floor effectively

 

Birth & Beyond

 

* Yoga helps the uterus back into place

* Helps strengthen the core muscles that can become weak during pregnancy, e.g pelvic floor, lower back and abdominal muscles

* Helps balance the hormones.

* Helps Mom become present and connected to her new baby.

 

Yoga has the amazing ability of teaching us the ability to slow down, tune-in, and become mindful of the connection that is happening between a mum & her baby in every passing moment. With the ability to surrender into those moments & let go of the 'to do' list, you give yourself the time & space to get to know not only your baby on a deeper level, but also yourself.
